Love it or hate it, it is Movember time again so things are about to get hairy for some of us. However, it is all for a great cause! Date Ideas Canada has put together all you need to know about mastering Movember and how best to support your Movember Man.
So, what is Movember?
Well, the short answer is that Movember is a Movement. Every year in November, men (known as “Mo Bros”) across the world grow moustaches to raise awareness on men’s health issues, particularly prostate cancer, testicular cancer and men’s suicide.
How do I support Movember?
As the movement has grown in popularity over the years, more ways of raising funds for this worthy cause have been added in the form of challenges and are laid out on the Movember site.

Must-know Tips for the Perfect Movember Moustache
Picking the Perfect Stache
Firstly, picking the right Movember stache is a crucial step in the preparation. Not everyone can pull off certain moustaches, so it’s important you pick a style that works with the shape of your face and that highlights your best features.

Purchasing Your Products
As with any big undertaking, growing the perfect moustache requires a small investment in precision instrumentation and maintenance products. Here is a short list of items which will make your life so much easier.
Beard Trimmer / Clippers / Facial Hair Scissors / Moustache Comb / Moustache Wax / Face Scrub / Shampoo and Conditioner / Moisturizer
Trimming
Even in the early stages of growing a moustache, trimming is key to its success. Initially, you should be fine trimming with clippers or a beard trimmer, however, after about three weeks you will find it easier to trim around your mouth with a quality pair of facial hair scissors.
PRO TIP! Only trim a DRY moustache as it is very easy to remove too much when your moustache is wet.

Washing
Use a good face scrub to remove dead skin cells and food particles which, unfortunately, do build up on your moustache.
Washing your stache with a little shampoo and conditioner will help avoid your skin feeling dry and itchy. Be sure to rinse thoroughly after washing as soaps can irritate the skin.

Moisturizing
You will need to moisturize the skin under your moustache daily. The hair pulls moisture away from the skin, drying it out and possibly leading to dandruff on your masterpiece.
Grooming
Have a moustache comb on hand. It not only keeps your moustache tidy, but it also helps distribute moustache wax evenly and guides your hand when trimming.
Using a special moustache wax is a great way to get some sexy definition onto your stache.

This is the perfect time to show your support for those brave beasts taking on the challenge and growing their moustaches into works of art in aid of a good cause.
