A classic Edwardian home built in 1904, Seven Gables Tillsonburg has been transformed into a beautiful Bed and Breakfast. The house has great historic significance in the town, having once been occupied by the grandson of Tillsonburg’s founder, George Tillson.
Inspired by Nathanial Hawthorne’s The House of Seven Gables, you will love how the home evokes the past while being tastefully updated with the comforts and luxuries of the present.
When it came to the ambitious renovation of the property, it was important to preserve and revitalize some of the history of Tillsonburg. The owners saw the creation of this bed and breakfast as an opportunity to fill a need in the community while keeping it original and authentic to the town.
You are steps away from downtown when you stay at Seven Gables. The house is nestled on 5 acres of land, and therefore embodies the perfect blend of accessibility and privacy. The large, wraparound porch is the perfect spot to enjoy a lovely glass of wine after the day’s outing.
There are three elegant and comfortable suites to choose from, all with distinct features.
Breakfast is served every morning and, whenever possible, fresh locally sourced produce and meats are used.
