Toronto

Baro

Hit up Baro’s rooftop on King St. West for the perfect year-round experience. Filled with greenery, huge screens, lots of sunlight as well as a spectacular city view, this spot’s definitely one of the hottest in town. It’s got just the perfect vibe of natural, yet trendy and is ideal in the evenings to catch a magical sunset. The Latin-inspired food is as delicious as it gets and we would definitely recommend the tacos if you haven’t tried them already!

This patio will definitely make you feel like you’re on vacation – and it’s just a stone’s throw from Mount Royal! It’s a great place to go when you need a change of scenery. The elevated section at the back of this terrasse is a true highlight. Decorated with a small pond, this patio is often described as a hidden treasure in the neighbourhood. It’s heated on cooler evenings so you can take advantage of this little oasis as late into the summer season as possible. Grenade’s flavours are diverse, offering dishes from various Asian countries from Japan to Thailand, via India and Cambodia. It is open daily from 4 p.m. until midnight.

Pub Le Sainte-Élisabeth

Pub Le Sainte-Élisabeth in the Latin Quarter is one of the liveliest spots in the city. Surrounded by majestic, vine-coated brick walls, this Irish pub’s patio is the perfect place to sip on a pint of your favourite brew. The bar does not have a kitchen but through a partnership with a nearby restaurant, pub-style food can be delivered right to your table. Le Sainte-Élisabeth offers a great atmosphere, hopping music and awesome beer – the perfect recipe for a perfect date.

Halifax

Antojo Tacos + Tequila

Situated in the hub of Halifax’s restaurant and entertainment district, Antojo Tacos + Tequila serves eclectic Mexican-inspired dishes, plus a great collection of tequila and mezcal. If your date has a weakness for the agave-based spirit, ask your server to walk you both through a tasty tequila flight. The patio is colourful and vibrant with great service, ensuring a top-notch experience. Be sure to check out Margarita Monday for $6 Margaritas and Taco Tuesday for $4 Tacos.

Vancouver

Local Public Eatery (Gastown and Kitsilano)

Both Local Public Eatery locations in Vancouver have popular patios and it’s not hard to see why. The one in historic Gastown provides great people watching and an easy vibe by the downtown square. The Kitsilano location is where the first of 12 Local restaurants across the country began. It is situated near Kits Beach, the Seawall and the Burrard Street Bridge. With a view of the North Shore Mountains and English Bay, plus 18 taps of local craft beers available, you’ll want to spend as much time as possible on this patio.

So now, you’re all set with our top 7 patios to visit in a few of our major cities. Make sure to include one of these in your next date night out while you can still enjoy the last few weeks of summer.
