About Lake Breeze
Lake Breeze Vineyards in the beautiful Okanagan Valley was named for the winds that blow across the bluffs year-round. We are located on the renowned Naramata Bench. Our winemaker originates from South Africa and brought with him the term “wine farm”, one which we have adapted.
We endeavour to take the natural expression of the grape and transfer it to the bottle with as little intervention as possible. Thus, the wines of Lake Breeze are known to clean, crisp and fruit-driven in style.
The wine farm consists of a 12-acre parcel originally named Rock Oven Vineyards. The first vines on the property were planted in 1985, making them some of the oldest on the Naramata Bench. The mature vines, coupled with a predominantly westerly aspect, ensure plenty of sun exposure and ideal ripening conditions.
The current owners, the MacIntyre family, purchased the property in 2001. They have invested extensively to grow the operation from less than 3,000 cases of wine a year to over 10,000.
The Wine
We recently introduced a fresh new bottled look for Lake Breeze but the wine is still classic Lake Breeze.
The newly introduced Lake Breeze Cellar Series is a luxurious collection adorned with our wind goddess. Each varietal pays tribute to the regional wind that embodies its unique winemaking style.
In 2016, we introduced an additional premium wine made by Garron Elmes under the MacIntyre Heritage Reserve label. These wines are a bold and prideful celebration, honouring those who walked before us. In short, MacIntyre wines encapsulate our ultimate effort to produce the very finest Naramata Bench wines. Bar none.
Dining at the Winery
Chef Mark Ashton and his team are committed to providing you with a memorable winery dining experience. Our menu features naturally and ethically raised meats from small B.C. farms. In addition, we are fortunate to have access to the abundant organic produce that grows in our garden and locally. We take care to showcase this produce along with local cheeses with seasonally inspired menu items.
Lake Breeze Vineyards is also a proud participant in the Ocean Wise program, promoting sustainable seafood. Additionally, the bread and buns you see on the menu were baked fresh this morning in our kitchen.
We delight in the experiences that we provide to our visitors and try to create a connection that can be re-experienced each time you open one of our wines.
Sit back, have a glass, and enjoy the view. Cheers!
